Research as a team practice
The STEM Summer Research Institute brought students and mentors together around a shared process: define the problem, test assumptions, document what happened, and explain the result so someone else can build on it.
That rhythm continues to shape how I approach software and applied AI. Progress depends on technical depth, but it also depends on asking clear questions and sharing unfinished thinking early enough for the team to improve it.
The lesson that stayed
Good research is not a performance of certainty. It is a disciplined way to reduce uncertainty, learn from evidence, and leave the next person with a clearer path forward.
