Muhammad Ahsan delivering a graduate address at Mercy University

Speaking to the class of 2026

I was selected to represent the School of Liberal Arts as a graduate speaker at Mercy University’s 2026 commencement.

A different kind of technical challenge

Preparing a commencement address asked for the same clarity I value in software: understand the audience, remove what does not serve the message, and make every part support the whole.

The moment was an opportunity to thank the people who shaped the journey and to speak honestly about uncertainty, persistence, and the responsibility that comes with an education.

What I carried forward

Technical work matters most when it connects to people. Standing at the podium reinforced my commitment to communicate clearly, make room for collaboration, and build things that create practical value.
